Hello, I am Amanda

I'm a Bay Area-based designer with a background in psychology, Montessori education, and entrepreneurship. My passion for understanding human behavior and creating products that meet users' needs led me to pursue a career in User Experience design. My designs not only look aesthetically pleasing, but are also effortless and inclusive, with the user's needs always put first.

My education in psychology and interest in research, combined with my experience in education and business building, makes UX design a natural fit for me. My goal is to create meaningful designs that have a positive impact in a collaborative environment.

In my teaching years, I honed my skills in collaboration and observation to meet the needs of individual students. These skills have carried over into my work as a UX designer, where I strive to solve problems with empathy and understanding. I believe that teamwork and alliance are invaluable when finding solutions that enrich people's lives.

As a self-taught business owner of a thriving cottage bakery, I gained valuable experience in communicating with customers, utilizing social media and marketing, and building a brand and an e-commerce website from scratch. I understand firsthand the power of great design work and the importance of connecting with customers to build a sense of community.

When I'm not designing, you can find me skating at the ice rink before the sun comes up, hiking and traveling with my family, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen ❋
